REHOMING

This branch does not have an Animal Centre and is unable to accept unwanted animals from the public. Our role is to assist the RSPCA Inspectors and Animal Collection Officers who are dealing with abused and at-risk animals. These animals are cared for in private boarding establishments used by the branch. The majority of our dogs can be visited at Santosha, between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and 9am till 12am on Sundays. Please report to reception upon arrival. Directions can be found at: http://www.santosha.co.uk/kennels/findus.htm.

We also have cats available to rehome through the Branch. Scroll to the end of the dog photographs for details, or call Pam on 01270 811013. More cats are available from RSPCA Stapeley Grange Cattery in Nantwich, which is run by the national Society and is open for viewing by the public between 11.30am-3.30pm, Tuesday-Sunday. If you are looking to rehome your pet, the contacts below may be of use to you.

Dogs available for rehoming from the branch

SAM

Sam

(April 2008) SAM is a 3 year old Collie/Labrador X - a very happy good natured dog. He travels well in the car and is thoroughly loveable in every way. He had a rough time recently and is just getting used to everyday things, but taking to his new life with gusto. He would make a fantastic pet for anyone as he is so amenable.

MAX and JASPER

Max and Jasper

(March 2008) These lovely boys have been brought in having lived together previously. They are quite devoted to each other so ideally we would like to rehome them as a pair. Max (hairy rugged type) is 5 years old and Jasper (sleek and handsome) is 2 years old. They are great pals and like walking together which they do beautifully. If you would like to know more, or to meet them, give us a call and we can introduce you.

Cats available for rehoming from the branch

STEWIE

Stewie

(April 2008) This young man, STEWIE, is very lucky to be alive, but for the dedication of the Veterinary team he would have become another road traffic accident statistic - the car that went over him did it with both sets of wheels. He is very timid at the moment as he has been through so much, but once he gets used to your presence he does purr loudly. He isn't bothered by other cats and deserves a loving new home.

MOLLY

Molly

(April 2008) MOLLY is a 2 year old, female tortoiseshell cat. She is very timid at the moment as she has been extremely frightened by a boisterous puppy in her home situation. This is why she finds herself in our care. Whilst she is timid, she responds very quickly to a friendly stroke and purrs freely and loudly. We would prefer not to rehome her where there are dogs although properly managed she possibly could adapt.

BIGGLES

Biggles

(April 2008) BIGGLES is a handsome your man looking for a new home if he is not claimed. He is such a lovely cat that someone must be missing him. He has settled into kennel life very quickly and is quite confident. Unfortunately, he was a bit matted when he was taken in and needed to be shaved each side, so he has a strange haircut at this moment - nothing that a few weeks won't cure! If his previous owners cannot be found then another lucky individual will have the chance to share the life of this wonderful creature.

Adopting an animal from us

If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat from us we may have a suitable animal requiring your care which is currently being boarded in a private boarding establishment.  All our animals are neutered and microchipped prior to rehoming, which is included in the adoption fee:     Dogs - £75           Cats - £45

The branch will carry out a home visit before you adopt an animal from us.  We will discuss with you all the requirements of the pet you have chosen and it is also an opportunity for you to ask questions.  We follow RSPCA guidelines when rehoming our animals and on occasions we may have to say no.

For more information about rehoming a dog please contact one of our local volunteers on telephone 07817 360497. Please leave a phone message if there is no answer, or email your name and telephone number to: williamsk@aseur.com.

If you wish to adopt a cat, you may also like to look at the Stapeley Grange Cattery page. Stapeley Grange is run by the national Society and also accepts cats from Inspectors from a wider geographical area. Please refer to the cattery to find out about their adoption process.
